We arrived home from Thailand yesterday, where we have been for the last 3 weeks. WOW, what an adventure. We traveled from Bangkok, north to Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai, then south to Chumporn, took a boat to the island of Ko Tao, after a few days we went back north to Ayutthaya to see ancient ruins, and on to Pok Chong, where we visited Kao Yai National Park, then back to Bangkok. There was so much to explore, it was hard to decide what to do, but we were able to take a Thai Massage class, cooking class, tour to the Mekong River, boating around Ko Tao, snorkeling, markets, night and day, all using many trains, buses, and boats. A few highlights included chatting with a monk, Souk, hiking in the Kao Yai forest, banana shakes, traveling through the countryside, visiting temple ruins, and the FOOD! We are settling back in Hawaii, finally closing on our land, moving into the house we will be caretaking for the next year, and getting ready for the week-end beach clean-up.
