Shannon in Portland

I had the opportunity to flagcatch for the Amazon dragon boat team again. They're a bunch of fabulous women with a lot of fire and support; we placed 4th out of 25. The team gave their best and we were happy to be in the finals. During my 5 day visit in Portland, I met with a lot of old friends and Panga (Rebecca's dog). Portland is an awesome city; I came to realize that it will never be home, but a cool place to visit. During my 2 hour drive to Volcano from the airport, I drove by Mauna Loa just when the bright moon was coming up from behind. There was not a single cloud in the sky; it was amazing to see the sharpness of this dormant volcano.
