Goodbye Summer, Hello Fall

Aloha everyone!
It's been too long since our last entry.

My family came to visit (see picture) in August for 8 days. We saw/did a lot in a short time. Hannah started boogie boarding right away but became a little nervous of the ocean after a close encounter with a green sea turtle. We all went to a Luau; Shawn especially enjoyed watching the male performers.

We finally got a loan for our house! Just a few more things to do and then our excavator comes to take out stumps and make our driveway driveable. There is a good 2 feet drop into our lot from the road so it's necessary. We're anticipating to start the building process in November.

School is going great for both of us. Rowan decided to major in Sociology and I've decided to do a thesis project on diving behavior and foraging ecology of hawksbill turtles.

We'll try to post more often. Hope everyone is doing well.
