Happy Birthday Rowan!! She's 31! She's still on the mainland with her family and Shannon still slaves away with this sanding job at the house. See progress from bare to first coat! Still have two more to go. Also, see new skylights!

The House is framed!

It was exciting to be able to walk into our fully enclosed house last week, the ceiling is beautiful. Shannon arrived from four weeks away visiting family and attending a class in Utah and presenting in D.C. I was happy to show her the prgoress of the house. Bill came to admire the structure and we mentioned being sad we did not have a dining area close to a window. He mentioned that we should make the huge bathroom a sun room/dining room and turn what is our small back porch into a bathroom. DONE! Well, we have worked out the plans with the good eye of Kenneth, but we still need to submit our change to the architect and hope everything runs smoothly. I will be leaving town on July 11th for a month visiting family, friends, and attending an ASL immersion in Washington so will not be around for that exciting process! But, the changes open the house up so much more, and give us a larger, sun soaked back porch. Enjoy the pictures!

We are excited about adding an octagonal window, the stairs will be leading up to the loft near that window. Here is a picture of Kenneth describing how the shower will sit, Shannon is standing where the claw foot tub will be.
